Education and Courses

Here at Weald Place we want to encourage as many new beekeepers as possible, so we are offering weekend courses in beekeeping. Over the two days you will learn all you need to get started with bees. We will show you how to handle your bees, how to recognise and treat disease, swarm management and control, how to build a hive and a little of the natural history of the honey bee. 

We will also be arranging specialist courses, with guest lecturers in more advanced beekeeping, candle making and such like. Course titles to be announced, along with dates, over the next couple of months.

All courses include course books, food, including evening meals and refreshments. Courses Start at 10 am and finish a 5pm

Starting with bees 2 days max class size is 10 people             £180.00 per person 
2012 dates available 15th &16th, 28th & 29th April 12th & 13th, 26th & 27th May 9th &10th June

Basic Queen rearing 1 day max class size is 10 people           £90.00 per person
2012 dates available 6th, 20th May 3rd, 17th June
